HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHANGE ALASKA AIRLINES RESERVATIONS?

Alaska Airlines provides an authority to the passengers to make changes or cancel their existing flight bookings without paying any extra charges or fees. Customers must make changes in their flight bookings within 24 hours of original purchases in order to save themselves from paying any extra charges or fees. If you need to change any flight booked 24 hours within scheduled departure, the regular flight change or cancellation fee will apply.

CHANGE OR CANCELLATION FEE 

Changing Alaska Airlines flight tickets at least 60 days before scheduled departure will now be subject to a $125 change fee.

There are three exceptions to the new Alaska $125 fee:

• Refundable fares purchased with cash or ward miles.
• MVP Gold and Gold 75K Mileage Plan members.
• Intra-Alaska tickets purchased with cash or miles and cash.

SAME-DAY FLIGHT CHANGES 

• The $25 change fee increases to $50 and will also apply to A-class non-refundable first-class Alaska flights.
• The new flight must take place on the same calendar date as your original flight.
• Customers can request the change at any time during check-in.
• Intra- Californian change fees remain at $25.       
• MVP Gold and Gold 75K Premier members are exempt from all flight change fees.

CAN YOU CARRY A BACKPACK ON SPIRIT AIRLINES FOR FREE?

 In order to keep the flight ticket prices as low as possible for everyone, Spirit Airlines charges for carry-on and checked bags. Spirit Airlines also charge more for checked baggage weighing over 40 lbs. Customers are allowed to carry one personal item like a backpack, purse, briefcase, etc. for free but it must fit entirely in the smaller size box. In case of an extra personal item or anything larger like a standard carry-on or a checked bag, customer needs to pay extra fees.

• The maximum dimension of a personal item should be 18* 14* 8 inches or 45* 35* 20 cm, including handles and wheels.
• Maximum dimensions of carry-on should be 22* 18* 10 inches or 56* 46* 25 cm.
• Maximum dimensions of checked baggage should be 622 linear inches, including handles and wheels. The weight should not be more than 40 pounds or 18.1 kg.
• Any bags exceeding the applicable size or weight will be considered as oversized or overweight bags and you need to pay an extra fee or charges for such bags.
